An easy trail circles the lake, starting from Ross Durrance Road, passing through a scenic forest trail, then following a wide gravel trail around the second half of the lake that offers scenic views with Mount Work tower above in the background. The sampling location at Durrance Lake is off the wharf at the northwest end of the lake. Limited parking is available in the small lot at the end of Durrance Road. Located in the Mount Work Regional Park area, Durrance Lake is a popular swimming hole in the summer months and fishing lake throughout the year.
