About 500 feet after leaving the parking lot you will cross over a wooden boardwalk and footbridge. For additional adventure you can scramble your way up to the top of the falls and enjoy an incredible view.
Lots of ways to branch off to see the falls from different viewpoints. Be sure your little ones are at least walking age. The Falling Branch area of Rocks State Park is located about five miles north of the main park on a separate 67-acre parcel of land. You can park at the Eden Mill Nature Center, which is about 1 mile from the trailhead. Rocks State Park remains environmentally sensitive and this area in particular, the Falling Brach area, is very well maintained. Easy enough for a 3 year old. Contact: Thank you! The following one in the Old Line State is a short hike to reach, and is actually located at the base of a waterfall. You can either turn around and retrace your steps, or, if you scrambled up above the falls you can continue along a lone trail up at the top which circles back to the path you took to reach the falls. This non-developed, environmentally sensitive area has a serene hiking trail leading back to the waterfall.
