Anima Mundi is the International Animation Festival of Brazil, takes place in Rio de Janeiro and in São Paulo. 7. Inspired by an artistic idea put forward by Maestro Giuseppe Sinopoli, the International Sacred Music Festival “Anima Mundi”, which began in 2001, is one of the most important and prestigious events of its kind both in Italy and abroad.
The festival was created by a group of animators and filmmakers who wanted to raise awareness about animated productions and films in Brazil.[1].

There is also a contest of web and cellular phone animation that runs concurrently with the festival named Anima Mundi Web and Anima Mundi Cell. The Festival, consisting of 7 concerts held in the incomparable setting of the Cathedral and Camposanto, is generally scheduled between September and October. The 20th edition of the Anima Mundi festival has been suspended for 2020.
The first edition of Anima Mundi happened in 1993, in Rio de Janeiro. Luca Curci, will be presented in Venice at THE ROOM Contemporary Art Space, at Palazzo Ca’ Zanardi and in other prestigious venues between May and November 2019, during the same period of the 58th Venice Biennale, curated by Ralph Rugoff and organized by La Biennale di Venezia 2019, chaired by Paolo Baratta.
