I've seen a few shows here over the years. The Troy Music Hall and Proctors Theater also feature musical concerts and sometimes classical movies but their seats are tiny and cramped... especially important in the winter when you are wearing bulky clothes.

As a Phish fan and a member of the jam band/Grateful Dead world I've seen many a show here. Let me start off by saying that I really like the Palace Theater and I will definitely be back. The architecture and beauty of the inside of this building is gorgeous, it's really a work of art. Good wines today- best I have ever had at this type of venue. The Palace Theatre is one very notable cornerstone in Albany's growing downtown entertainment destinations. I used to love going to concerts here but they have really let their security get so bad they might as well not have any.
