The room surpassed all our expectations having all the things you’d expect in any regular modern hotel but with this amazing traditional charming setting.The hotel is spotlessly clean and no matter where you were in the hotel you always got that old castle feel. On the day of our departure we had Afternoon Tea on the Terrace, it wasabsolutely gorgeous and such a treat, we asked for more and sandwiches, which were happily provided. It was one of the most memorable places we have ever stayed.To our delight we were given an amazing castle room, which is what we wanted!
On arrival the girl was very pleasant and helpful. All in all we loved our stay . The staff were extremely friendly and very professional. Unless you leave the door unlocked I went to bed early with the baby. Had a lovely afternoon tea in the garden room to celebrate my friend's birthday. I'd no mobile phone signal. Highly recommended as a special treat! The drinks are reasonablypriced given the calibre of the castle. Tea kept coming and we went for the prosecco option as it was a special occasion. He didn’t stay around long when he realized I didn’t have food.

You cannot walk away hungry . Located on the first floor, with a commanding view of the gardens and local parkland, the Courtroom offers an award-winning menu featuring the best in Irish cuisine, using locally-sourced and seasonal produce.
We loved our huge walk in shower with “disco” lights . To explain some of your issues; the cottage outer door remains unlocked as a matter of health and safety.To lock would prevent exit in the event of an emergency. I hope that should you decide to travel in Ireland in the future, you will revisit us at Cabra castle hotel.

Breakfast choices amazing from continental to full Irish and everything in between and plentiful . None of the rooms were in the castle but I really liked my room! Such a nice room also, facing the new garden out front and we got to see a bride and groom arrive up the red carpet for their wedding, led by the resident bagpiper. This complemented by a comprehensive wine list.

I couldn't recommend Cabra Castle high enough. There was no matress in the cot just a hard base so the baby slept with us in our bed. The wedding was a 2 pm which left a lot of people unhappy.
