The H-scenes are pretty abysmal. H-scenes here are back to just kind of *existing* without adding anything or taking anything away. The comedy there is perfect and the harem setting helps with the comedy a lot. Pure Connect: The choice-related conversations in this game all take place via texting. There are five routes but you are always in a harem with all five girls, and instead of choosing a particular romance you choose the style of harem you want, and though one of the girls does get some extra attention in each route, it never becomes "their" route.

The "Security" job is realllyyyy boring, especially compared to the others. I added a description of the choice system for each game to the bottom of the post. You can choose a "jealous" harem where the girls are competing against each other to be the main wife, a "reverse" harem where the girls dominate you and take the lead, a "healing" harem where the girls pamper you, a "helping" harem where you pamper the girls and do a bunch of nice things for them, and a "troll" harem where you just use your power as king to troll the girls. Sugar Style: A step down from Making Lovers but only a small one. Glad to see that ML is different than IxS. At the end of each section you can choose which girl to text and then you will get at least two different choice points that determine how much affection you gain and the direction of the conversation. Each girl gets 2 or 3 H-scenes right off the bat in the prologue, followed by an additional 4 to 5 group H-scenes in each route. The art takes a big step up here and becomes actually worth commenting on.
The comedy is back in top form. More posts from the visualnovels community. The romance is bumped up into the next tier by having the relationship begin right as the game does which allows for more exploration of each relationship as half of the game isn't spent in the common route. Enjoyed Eurasia’s route but it felt way too short. There are five girls and yet the only one who stands out is Ichinose Sora. Harem Kingdom: The most recent SMEE game and perhaps the best overall package, Harem Kingdom definitely shows that SMEE has still got it.
I think people are putting together a restoration patch to fix it, but I haven't checked on that progress in a long time. You can also choose to have each girl change her hairstyle when you are in her route. Indeed SMEE does an admirable job of making sure that all five girls gets an equal amount of screentime and H-scenes. If you're not aware of SMEE, their games are all rom-coms but with more focus and better execution on the com than the rom. In addition there are two dialogue choices in each of those scenes which can alter them a little bit, but do note that these scenes are pretty short. You pick the girl you want to talk to, then you pick a topic and then you pick a response based on the conversation. The comedy is largely hit or miss. I'd say my biggest negatives were. First impressions about Asuka’s route of Kanojo ＊ Step and the common route of Kusunoki Yashiki no Monogatari ~Himitsu no Ochoumen~. The other characters have their moments but ultimately never feel like anything more than cardboard props. The more "right" options you pick, the faster you get into the girl's route, which is actually somewhat detrimental as it will result in you skipping certain events in the back end of the common route if you do it too fast.
